While there is helpful information on Zillow, it's important to use it more as a gauge for home value. As a real estate professional, I look at Zillow to see what they're thinking.
However, I also look at other gauges, such as the tax roll or MLS systems. That way, I can see what the true values of comparable sales are. There are a lot of factors that go into determining the value of a home, and Zillow can't know all of them.
Zillow provides metrics from an algorithm system. You need a real estate expert to take neighborhoods into consideration as well.
